City Hall welcomes pets too! Pictured above are Daisy, on the left in front of City Hall, and Hamilton, being held by a city employee and sporting his Detroit Lions t-shirt.

Westland’s Animal Rescue Officer also recently hosted a program with P.O.E.T, a local foster-based rescue. The event supplied food for pet parents who needed help with getting food for their pets, and also offered free spay/neuter for those in need.

Westland’s Mayor on the Importance of Pets

“In Westland, we know the importance of pets in our community and in our families. We have several beautiful parks throughout the City where residents and their four-legged family members can enjoy time outside to explore, exercise and bond together. We are excited to be certified through Better Cities for Pets and we will continue to emphasize pet friendly experiences throughout our City.”
