BETTER CITIES FOR PETS™ certified cities have programs and policies that make it easier for pets and pet owners to live a happy, healthy life together.

What Makes Gresham a Pet-Friendly City?

Certified in the BETTER CITIES FOR PETS™ program in 2019, Gresham, Oregon scored especially well in the Shelters and Parks traits of our pet-friendly cities model. The city also is known for its efforts to make pets welcome in businesses and workplaces.

One of the city’s most pet-friendly features is the dog park within its flagship Main City Park. The park features a playground, baseball fields, open green space, a Japanese garden and the dog park. The park is also adjacent to the Springwater trail so, residents can enjoy a walk or run with their dogs and the beautiful natural scenery.

We are pleased to be named as a certified city in the BETTER CITIES FOR PETS™ initiative in recognition of making Gresham a pet-friendly city.”
