Waterford’s Mayor on the City’s Commitment to Pets

“The City of Waterford and residents take pride in becoming one of the small-rural cities in Stanislaus County to be certified as a ‘BETTER CITY FOR PETS.’ Waterfordians take great respect and responsibility for their pets, as annually reported to the City Council by the Stanislaus Animal Services as one of the cities with the highest dog license compliance in the county. Many of our citizens consider their pets as members of their family and value their unconditional love for their human companions. Therefore, past and current city commissioners and council members have planned for Waterfordians with keeping their pets in mind. The Tuolumne River Trail has been a long time project that extends from east to west of the city that encompasses various points such as nature, physical and mental health in the company of their pets.”
